Install
- Download the latest Windows release from GitHub.
- Run the installer and complete the setup.
- Open File Explorer. Jalyro Convert is now available in the main Windows 11 right-click menu.
Convert files
- Select one file, or select a batch of files.
- Right-click the selection.
- Choose Convert to, then pick the output format or preset you want.
- Find the converted files in the same folder as the originals.
No upload step.Conversions run locally on your computer. There is no account and your files are not sent to Jalyro.
Supported formats
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OPUS. You can also extract audio from video files.
MP4 and WEBM output, with MOV, MKV, AVI, WMV, FLV and other common inputs.
HEIC decoding is built in; you do not need to buy the Windows HEVC extension.
What to expect
DISCORD-FRIENDLY
Stop guessing which settings will fit.
Choose Compress for Discord from the right-click menu. Jalyro Convert works backward from the upload-size limit and adjusts the video to fit, while preserving as much quality as the limit allows.
- Single image conversions run silently.
- Batch conversions show progress and can be cancelled.
- Existing files are never overwritten; a collision becomes
photo (1).jpg. - Lossless output stays lossless where the selected format supports it.
- Compress for email also targets a practical file-size limit.
Troubleshooting
I cannot see “Convert to”
Confirm that you are using 64-bit Windows 11 version 22H2 or later, then run the latest installer again. The command should appear in the main right-click menu, not under “Show more options”.
Where is the converted file?
It is saved in the same folder as the source file. Jalyro Convert never replaces the original.
A format or file does not work
Check for a newer release first. If the issue remains, report it on GitHub with the input format, requested output and Windows version. Do not upload a private file unless you are comfortable sharing it.
